In addition to 33 short talks by the participants, the program for the meeting included lectures by Jacob Lurie (Harvard University) and Lars Hesselholt (University of Copenhagen/Nagoya University) on "Tamagawa Numbers via Nonabelian Poincare Duality" and "Topological Hochschild Homology" respectively.

The YTM is an annual event organized in turns by École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and University of Copenhagen. The meeting is intended as an opportunity for graduate students, recent PhDs, and other junior researchers in topology to meet each other and share their work.

The 8th YTM toke place June 30 to July 4, and was financially supported by the Danish National Research Foundation and NSF grant DMS-1430456. For more information, see the conference website.

Jacob Lurie (Harvard) and Lars Hesselholt (Copenhagen/Nagoya) gave mini courses.
